Médiévales de Provins 41st Edition

The Medieval Festival of Provins is one of the largest historical re-enactments in Europe set within the walls of a UNESCO World Heritage city. Reflecting the historical soul of it recreates the famous Fairs of Champagne that made the region a global trade center during the Middle Ages. The event anchors the regional identity of Seine-et-Marne as a sanctuary for medieval architecture and chivalric traditions. Visitors can experience a complete immersion with troubadours knights and craftsmen displaying their skills in the cobblestone streets. This festival has a significant social impact by involving hundreds of costumed volunteers from the local community. For historians it provides a rigorous simulation of 13th-century life and economy based on archaeological evidence. The celebration ensures the preservation of Provins legacy as a living museum for future generations to explore.
