Gaming Fabrica Workshop

This creative workshop consists of a technical stage where young creators design and build a professional video game from scratch.[7] Historically Porto-Vecchio has moved from traditional craftsmanship to becoming a modern hub for digital innovation and young talent development. The regional identity is integrated by using island themes and landscape aesthetics as narrative components in the game’s design. Participants experience an intensive educational environment guided by industry experts and local tech mentors. The social impact empowers the local youth with professional skills in the burgeoning creative industries sector of Corsica. For researchers it documents the current shift in island cultural production toward modern multimedia and interactive platforms. Preserving the island’s storytelling legacy through new digital support is the key objective of this initiative at L’Animu.
