On 2 August 2026, Lesconil will celebrate the Fête de Bag Leskon, honoring the centenary of the sardinières. The event features a gathering of historic sailing vessels, including sardinières and misainiers, alongside a variety of engaging onshore and offshore activities. Attendees can look forward to seamanship demonstrations, children’s games, and local bookshops showcasing historical insights. A mini-conference will explore life in Lesconil in days gone by, while the Le Coeur shipyard hosts a temporary exhibition themed ‘Women of Character’. The streets will enliven with a costumed parade featuring the LAC troupe, bringing local culture to life. A choir performance by the Collectif ‘Bigoudènes en lutte’, with a 50-strong ensemble singing traditional songs in both French and Breton, is also on the agenda. The day will culminate with a Fest-Noz dance led by the popular group AR GWECHALL. With free admission and on-site refreshments, the festival is scheduled to be a experience for families and culture lovers alike, celebrating the rich maritime heritage of the region.
