The atmosphere at C’est la fête au village des irréductibles in Guerlesquin on 6 August 2026. The festivities begin at 12:30 PM with a grilled wild boar dinner accompanied by traditional musicians, featuring a menu that includes melon with chouchen, grilled boar, potatoes, dessert, and coffee. At 2:30 PM, the excitement continues with a log gallop contest at Plas ar Saout, followed by the World Menhir Throwing Championship starting at 3 PM in Place du Martray. This open event welcomes entries in various categories: Idefix (children), Falbala (ladies), Asterix (under 20s), and Obelix (over 20s), with a special magic potion provided by the druid to all participants. The day also features shuffleboard competitions, Breton athletic games for those under 17, and demonstrations of gouren (Breton wrestling) at Place du Présidial, all with free admission. As the sun sets, the celebrations culminate in a fest noz from 9 PM under Les Halles, showcasing the musical talents of the group War Sav, as well as kan ha diskan singers Sylvain Le Roux and Jacques David, along with the Cornic brothers. The program includes galettes-saucisses, crêpes, and traditional drinks throughout the day.
