Le Port en Fête in Plougasnou: Nautical Celebration

On August 9, 2026, Plougasnou’s nautical associations will converge at Port du Diben for the celebration of ‘Le Port en Fête’. The event includes demonstrations of sea rescue and safety by the SNSM Morlaix Bay stations. Visitors can enjoy thrilling sea rides on lifeboats, with proceeds supporting the SNSM. Throughout the day, free concerts will feature sea chanteys, complemented by a variety of local food options like mussels and French fries, grilled meats, and crêpes available on-site. The festivities begin with M. Le Maire laying a wreath at sea in memory of those lost at sea, underscoring the event’s dedication to maritime heritage. Attendees can look forward to traditional country and madison dance performances around lunchtime, followed by exciting rescue demonstrations in the early afternoon. There will also be merchandise stands and inflatable structures for children, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere.
