About this event

The inaugural “Norman-Iranian Perspectives” photography biennale will be held at Espace Saint-Nicolas in Coutances from June 27 to August 29, 2026. This unique exhibition showcases the works of two talented female photographers: Isabelle Eshraghi, a Franco-Iranian artist, and Élisabeth Blanchet Burgot from Normandy. Their photographs engage in a compelling dialogue focused on roots, cultural transmission, and identity. In addition to the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a diverse cultural program that includes analog photography workshops, screenings of Iranian films, a literary gathering, a concert featuring traditional Persian music, and informative lectures on contemporary Iran. A participatory installation created with students from Lycée Charles-François-Lebrun will highlight the stories of 27 dedicated Iranian women. This biennale offers a rich blend of art, heritage, and community engagement, making it a significant event for photography enthusiasts and those interested in cultural exchange.
