On July 3, 2026, the Troupe Réunie pour la Poésie et la Liberté will present Lioubomir Simovitch’s ‘Chopalovitch’ in Candé. This carefully staged performance features a traveling theater troupe that arrives in a village under foreign occupation, exploring themes of curiosity and misunderstanding. The narrative highlights the complex interactions and occasional clashes between the artists and the villagers, ultimately questioning the role of art in everyday life. Starring Jean-Baptiste Breton, Isabelle Brochard, and Camille de La Guillonnière, this production masterfully combines comedy and drama to engage local audiences.
