Poum Wednesday Market 2026: Village Produce and Northern New Caledonia Know-How

Poum’s Wednesday market is a North Province village gathering built around local women, produce, craft and everyday know-how.

About this event

Every Wednesday morning in Poum, local women described by the official tourism page as the commune’s mamies sell products in the village centre. The market is free to access and runs year-round from 6 a.m. to noon. Its publication value is regional and human-scale: it connects visitors to North Province everyday culture through local produce, craft, conversation and the continuity of community knowledge carried by older women.
