The Journées Européennes du Patrimoine in Roscoff allows visitors to immerse themselves in the town’s historical richness on September 19th and 20th, 2026. This annual celebration, coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, the Tourist Office, and the Municipal Heritage Commission, features a variety of engaging tours and exhibitions that showcase Roscoff’s architectural and maritime legacy. On both days, attractions will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Highlights include free access to Notre Dame de Croaz Batz church and the Chapelle Sainte Barbe, as well as tours of Roscoff’s historic lighthouse and old houses. Additionally, exhibitions will display architectural drawings and maritime history. Craft demonstrations and traditional games by the C’hoarioù Kilhou Association will also take place throughout the event. A highlighted theatrical tour by the Théâtre de la Corniche is scheduled to bring historical stories to life, featuring performers in period costumes. Visitors can delve deeper into Roscoff’s rich past with guided tours, including a visit to the Vil cemetery focusing on funerary art and architecture. Do not miss the book sale in the municipal library’s garden on the 19th. This weekend is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Roscoff’s cultural heritage.
