Five themes structure Castellio’s account of Protestant life in Châtillon-sur-Loire. Religious wars and persecution under Louis XIV are followed by the community’s resistance, integration and public affirmation. The exhibition follows these changes across four centuries, placing religious memory within the social history of the town and the shifting position of its Protestant inhabitants.
