Il était une fois Barnenez: construction et renaissance

A Plougasnou school class and a painter retell how the Barnenez cairn was raised, forgotten and then saved from destruction.

About this event

A series of printed panels stands in the open air around the Barnenez cairn at Plouezoch. Some thirty pupils of the classe de 6ème at collège François Charles de Plougasnou made them with the artist Lauranne Guyomard. Paintings, collages, visual creations and graphic montages retrace the cairn’s construction, its oblivion and its renaissance. The panels grew out of lessons on prehistory, megalithism and archaeological conservation.
