  • Carton Pixel Art Project in Le Havre: Creative Community

Join a collaborative art project at the MuMa in Le Havre from June 30 to July 14, 2026. This initiative by artist Claire Le Breton involves constructing a giant fresco made from over 8,000 small squares of recycled cardboard using the innovative “Carton Pixel” method. The project resonates with themes found in Ai Weiwei’s Water Lilies while reflecting upon Claude Monet’s world, merging Impressionist art with modern environmental discussions. Designed to be engaging and accessible for participants of all ages, it encourages creative expression and community involvement. After completion, the resulting artwork, titled Œuvre interprétée, will be on display from July 15 to September 27, allowing visitors to appreciate this unique creation. Don’t miss your chance to contribute to this artistic experience at one of Normandy’s leading modern art museums!
