  • Trail du Bout du Monde in Plouzané: Athletic Challenge

    The 20th edition of the Trail du Bout du Monde excites runners from France and internationally. Scheduled for July 4 and 5, 2026, this event highlights remarkable trails along the GR34 at the tip of Finistère, near Brest. Participants will enjoy notable views over Brest Harbour and the Iroise Sea while navigating a challenging route past iconic lighthouses such as Minou, St Mathieu, and Kermorvan. Runners can select from various race distances, including 11km, 20km, 37km, and 57km circuits, with participants hailing from about 70 French departments and 10 nationalities each year. Races kick off on Saturday evening with the 11km and 20km starting at 6:15 PM and 5:45 PM, respectively, all concluding at the historic Pointe Saint Mathieu lighthouse in Plougonvelin. Long-distance circuits of 37km and 57km will take place on Sunday, beginning at the Vélodrome de Plouzané. Beyond the thrilling races, the event concludes with a pasta party for participants. The Trail du Bout du Monde fosters a festive atmosphere, attracting spectators and families, and offers a range of entertainment for attendees. Set against the scenic backdrop of the Pays d’Iroise region, this signature summer event in Brittany showcases the spirit of camaraderie and athleticism amidst stunning natural beauty.
