Fifteen or so firms of the Quimperlé Les Rias destination take visitors behind their own doors. Breweries, a paper mill, a distillery, artisan studios and specialist companies are among them, so craft, farming and industry sit side by side. Forty-four tourist offices across Brittany stand behind the fortnight. Quimperlé’s own share turns on food production and the métiers d’art.

Brasserie de Trévarn opens its brewhouse, Saint-Urbain
The Brasserie de Trévarn works out of a farm at Saint-Urbain, and it opens the brewhouse for the Breton tourist offices’ fortnight of company visits. The tour begins with the ingredients of beer, what each one is for and how it behaves. It follows the brewing itself and the styles that come out of it, then ends with a tasting and the chance to buy. The raw materials are mainly Breton and the beers carry the Nature et Progrès mention.
Brasserie de Launay: a Breton organic brewery visit
Wheat beer, pale ale, red ale, IPA, dark ale and strong ale make up the range, which runs to 75,000 litres a year. Each stage is explained in order by the brewer, from the selection of raw materials to brewing, fermentation and bottling. Lamballe-Armor holds the brewery today, after a start at the Gare de Moncontour, in the old Penthièvre country that modern Breton calls Pentevr. Groups run to fifteen people at most, and the route stays accessible to people with limited mobility.
Guided Visit to Warenghem Brewery
Warenghem Brewery occupies a converted industrial site where Breton production heritage meets contemporary craft brewing. The guided visit follows the main stages of making beer and explains how local sourcing shapes both the process and the finished drink. Links with organic producers place the brewery within a wider regional network, while the adapted building and working equipment show how inherited industrial spaces can support new forms of Breton know-how.
Inside Poem Organic Brewery in Brest
Immersion à la brasserie Poèm presents beer-making beside Brest’s Moulin Blanc marina, in a former workshop linked to composite racing boats. Gérald’s organic brewery works with Breton malt, hoppy recipes and short supply chains, treating the tank room as both craft space and maritime echo. The visit ends around on-site beers whose names and flavors nod to sea wind, local grain and the rugged western coast.
