Pardon de Kerbader in Fouesnant: A Breton Celebration
The Pardon de Kerbader is a two-day festival in Fouesnant, showcasing the rich traditions of Brittany. Food options include freshly baked breads from a wood-fired oven, available for purchase at the festival. A catering area will serve a range of options, including bars, crêperies, pastries, and hearty meals throughout the event. The festivities commence on Saturday evening with a mussels and fries dinner concert, featuring performances by Bagad ‘Bro Foën’ at 7:00 PM and ‘Les Vrillés’ at 8:30 PM, both free of charge. Sunday begins with a procession to the fountain at 10:30 AM, accompanied by music from Bagad ‘Bro Foën’ and the ‘Ar Pintiged Foën’ circle, leading to an open-air mass. At noon, attendees can enjoy ‘le ragout de chez nous’ and grilled meats. The afternoon features demonstrations of traditional trades and Breton games of strength, complemented by music and dance. As night falls, more regional specialties are served, followed by concerts by JAHINER. The festival concludes around 10:30 PM with a fireworks display over the Kerbader chapel, marking an celebration of Breton culture.
