This summer, the association Les Moyens du Bord presents an intriguing exhibition by visual artist Gabrielle Manglou in Morlaix. Her work combines drawings, photographs, volumes, archival images, and found objects, inviting viewers to engage with narratives inspired by Creole culture and fictional storytelling. Manglou, born in 1971 in La Réunion, now lives and works in Locmiquélic, Morbihan. With degrees from the art schools of Montpellier and Marseille, she has gained recognition within the art community, winning the AWARE Prize in 2025. Her practice often interrogates forgotten narratives, memories, and the connections between nature and culture. This exhibition offers a new perspective on history through diverse artistic forms and materials, creating a space that emphasizes both silence and sound. Visitors can expect an installation that encourages reflection on identity and memory through Manglou’s artistic lens.
