Choral Concert in Locmaria-Plouzané: Breton Harmony

On July 15, 2026, the Kanerien Lanveneg choir will perform with Les Voix de L’est at the church in Locmaria-Plouzané. This exceptional event will showcase 100 choristers in a diverse repertoire that features religious, traditional, contemporary, and Welsh songs. Led by Danielle Corre, the Kanerien Lanveneg choir consists of 39 passionate singers who focus on choral music sung in the Breton language, promoting this unique cultural heritage. Their performances reflect the warmth and richness of various musical traditions. Joining them, the men’s choir Les Voix de L’est, founded in 2014 under the Mines en Choeurs association, consists of a dozen choristers from varied musical backgrounds, directed by André Kogovsek. Their style is a capella, blending tenors, baritones, and basses in harmony. With their repertoire including popular and traditional songs from around the globe in languages such as Slovenian, Croatian, and more, this concert promises an engaging evening for music and culture enthusiasts, celebrating the beauty of both Breton and international choral traditions.
