The “Escale artistique en Terre Emeraude” event in Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer presents a celebration of art and local culture on July 12, 2026, from 11 AM to 8 PM. Set in the picturesque Jardin des Saveurs L’Abbaye, this festival features forty-two artists and artisans, all inspired by the sea, showcasing graphic arts, sculpture, ceramics, and glasswork in the setting of the abbey’s halls and gardens. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions along with circus performances, live music, and educational sessions. Families will find engaging activities, such as assembling barrel organs and learning to create perforated cardboard discs while singing traditional and children’s songs. Well-known author Dominique de Saint-Mars will also engage with young readers during the day. The Abbey’s entrance courtyard will transform into a Garden of Flavors, where local producers will offer tastings of their specialties. With more producers participating than in previous years, attendees will have ample opportunities to sample culinary delights from the region. This festival showcases the artistic and artisanal talents of the Rance Valley/Emerald Coast while highlighting the enthusiastic commitment of the local community.
