The Festival de Cornouaille, located in the historic heart of Quimper, is France’s largest showcase of Breton culture. Since its inception in 1923, this festival has welcomed over 150,000 visitors each summer to celebrate the traditions of Brittany. Originally born from a charity event featuring local beauty queens, it has evolved into a grand celebration that honors its rich heritage. During its four days—July 23 to 26, 2026—attendees can engage in a variety of activities highlighting music, dance, and local craftsmanship. Featuring performances by traditional Breton bands and dance troupes, the event fosters a multigenerational audience in a friendly, festive atmosphere. Families will find a welcoming environment filled with cultural experiences that embody the spirit of Brittany.
