Fête des Pommiers in Fouesnant: Celebrate Local Heritage

The Fête des Pommiers is an annual celebration organized by the Fouesnant Festival Committee, highlighting local traditions in Fouesnant. Over two exciting days, attendees can participate in various events. The festivities commence on Saturday, July 18, with a Cider and Apple Juice Competition at the School Cafeteria, followed by the results announcement and the presentation of Apple Blossom Pins at Town Hall Square. As evening arrives, guests can enjoy a barbecue featuring galette with sausage or ham, accompanied by live music, culminating in a notable Fest-Noz. On Sunday, July 19, the celebrations begin with an Apple Tree Mass at Saint-Pierre Church, honoring the 2026 Apple Blossoms. This is followed by a morning serenade and a grand parade showcasing bagadous and diverse Celtic circles through the streets. The day’s events continue in Town Hall Square with performances from dancers and musicians. The celebration concludes with the Triumph of the Bell Ringers, the Dance of the Thousand, and a spectacular fireworks display at the Balnéides soccer field. This event offers an authentic experience of local culture and heritage, making it a must-see in Brittany.
