Exposition “Raconte-moi George Sand” in Gargilesse-Dampierre

Raconte-moi George Sand presents the writer through drawings made by children from many parts of the world. Their images explore Sand as a woman, author and free spirit, while also responding to her ideas, passions, heroines, heroes and close relationship with nature. Contributions from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean create a deliberately plural portrait, showing how a Berry writer can be reimagined far beyond France. The exhibition gives the children’s point of view full weight and never asks them to imitate an adult historical account.
