Festival International des Jardins 2026

At the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire, the Festival International des Jardins operates as a laboratory for contemporary garden design. Landscape architects, designers and multidisciplinary teams from around the world turn bold proposals into more than twenty selected projects, joined by invited Cartes Vertes. Around thirty experimental gardens make the estate a field of comparison, where planting, structure, imagination and ecological thought can be read side by side. The current edition takes garden cinema as its theme, inviting designers to translate the language and atmosphere of film into living landscapes. Established practitioners appear alongside emerging names, reinforcing the festival’s role as both showcase and incubator. The garden becomes a temporary work of art and a testing ground for new ways of seeing nature, never mere decoration.
