La Broderie d’Alsace is retained for its direct link to Alsace-Moselle memory. The Memorial’s source explains that historian and illustrator Nicolas Mengus expands the play into storyboards, with 1,660 drawings tracing characters from the 1939 evacuation of Alsace to the 1953 trial connected to Oradour-sur-Glane.
