Village des Sciences in Hendaye is a public science event designed to make research and discovery accessible outside specialist settings. Located around Sokoburu, it connects the city with Abbadia, the Chateau-Observatoire owned by the Academie des sciences, and supports Hendaye’s ambition to be seen as a Basque Country capital of science. The event’s value lies in public translation: science brought into the open, in a coastal town with a real observatory heritage.
