The village of Lézignan probably originated as a Roman villa. Around 1460, the commune became Lézignan-la-Cèbe. Cèbe is the Occitan name for the sweet onion grown here, making it famous. Rendez-vous devant la Mairie, Rue de la Mairie, 34120 LÉZIGNAN-LA-CEBE hosts the event on 6 August 2026.
