La Nuit des Chimères transforms the Cité Plantagenêt into an evening journey through the historic heart of Le Mans. After dark, projections and light scenes draw attention to walls, façades, courtyards and details that can disappear in daytime routine. The event works because it uses contemporary images to bring visitors back to the city’s medieval fabric, Roman traces and Plantagenet identity. Families, walkers and heritage lovers can experience the old town at a slower pace, moving from one illuminated point to another. It is not a simple light show detached from place: the architecture itself is the stage, and the story belongs to Le Mans.
