‘The Sleeping Wood’ is set to enchant audiences at the Les Nuits de la Mayenne festival on 20 July 2026. This immersive landscape theater performance, crafted by author and playwright Guillaume Lambert, landscape gardener Léa Muller, and stage director Simon Gauchet, takes place in a mystical forest Located in the Chailland mountains. Rich with local folklore and tales of pagan and Catholic rituals, this hidden location serves as a specific backdrop for the production. While the forest remains off-limits to the public, its spirit comes alive through the local community’s gatherings, culminating in this distinctive event. Le Bois Dormant at Les Nuits de la Mayenne is scheduled for 20 July 2026 at La Dargentière, Montenay, France.
