The Medieval Camp “Les voyages en mer” in Asnières-sur-Vègre on July 25 and 26, 2026, for an focused journey into early naval history. Led by Kentigwern Jaouen, attendees will learn about the development of the French navy at the end of the Middle Ages, with demonstrations of naval artillery and the use of 16th-century navigation tools. Visitors can engage with a reconstituted cartography workshop, sample sailor rations, and delve into the bond between people and the sea. Presentations by the compagnie de l’Hermine radieuse will cover shipbuilding and sea fishing during the Breton ducal era. Throughout the weekend, the Halte du chanoine will offer refreshments, including craft beers, ciders, local ice creams, and shortbread, enhancing the overall experience. This.
