Bomba Flamenca is presented at the Basilique Notre-Dame in Beaune as part of the Festival international d’opéra baroque. On 3 July 2026, Simon-Pierre Bestion and La Tempête imagine a requiem for Charles V inspired by the funeral ceremony the emperor prepared for himself in 1558. The programme uses voices and instruments to evoke the scale and tensions of his empire.
