Fête Maritime de Loctudy: Celebrating Maritime Culture

A highlight will be the SNSM, presenting a flotilla of six launches from Loctudy and neighboring stations. Attendees can visit the boats, learn about rescue equipment, interact with volunteer rescuers, and potentially participate in sea outings, weather permitting. This day will reveal the variety of maritime professions vital to the port, such as dredgers, trawlers, and mussel farmers, who will share their knowledge with the public. The event will also boast crafts, exhibitions, demonstrations, and activities for children, ensuring entertainment for the entire family. Music will fill the air, starting with energetic performances from Brazilian percussionists BATUKALOC, followed by the GODILLEURS, who will perform traditional sea chanteys celebrating maritime heritage. As evening approaches, the dynamic musical program will continue, featuring GWENNYN, a significant figure in contemporary Breton music whose performance elegantly blends tradition with modernity. The day will culminate with a grand fireworks display launched from the sea, illuminating the bay and marking the end of this notable celebration of local maritime heritage.
