Swunky Long Legs joins Montélimar City Jazz with a blend of gypsy jazz, mainstream swing and funk. Beaujolais Nouveau Torchlight Parade and Ball
Two torchlit processions converge in Beaujeu for the ceremonial opening of the new Beaujolais wine. A sound and light show and fireworks accompany a tasting offered by Les Sarmentelles. The Bernard Becker orchestra then plays for the ball, which has paid admission included in selected dinner passes. The procession and wine-tapping ceremony are free to attend.
Sarmentelles Tasting Trail
The Sarmentelles tasting trail introduces wines from all twelve Beaujolais appellations, presented by their winegrowers. White and rosé Beaujolais broaden the selection. Visitors can discover Beaujeu’s heritage on foot or by little train, with bandas and musical processions along the route. Admission includes the tastings, activities, a tasting glass and its holder.
Repas Beaujolais des Sarmentelles
The Repas Beaujolais reunites diners and dancers during the Sarmentelles. Beaujeu caterer Maison Guillemot serves a menu in the tradition of Lyonnais bouchons, including andouillette parmentier and beef cooked in Beaujolais-Villages. Sylvie supplies French and international popular songs. A Sarmentelles wine bar also offers a chance to discover wines from the Beaujolais.
Sarmentelles Prestige Dinner Show
La Maison Guillemot prepares a menu dedicated to Les Sarmentelles for this dinner show in Beaujeu. Local winegrowers serve Beaujolais red and white wines at the tables as part of the meal. Cabaret, variety acts and songs from the eighties accompany dinner, followed by a grand ball within the Beaujolais wine celebration.
Haydn and Bruch with the Regional Orchestra
Orchestre national Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes presents a chamber programme pairing Haydn and Bruch. Haydn’s F minor String Quartet from Opus 20 features Harumi Ventalon and Mizuka Ohashi on violin. Bruch’s final composition expands the ensemble to a string octet in B flat major. Four violins, two violas, cello and double bass shape its larger sound.
The Celtic Social Club + Nótt
The Celtic Social Club mixes traditional Celtic sounds with rock, folk and touches of electronic music. Violin, bagpipes and guitar combine with a modern groove in the headline performance. Chambéry duo Nótt opens the concert with indie folk-rock that moves between gentle passages and a more intense sound.

The Ateliers des Arts Bal de Noël brings the conservatoire’s traditional music and dance students before a public audience. Their performances present the work developed in the department as part of the institution’s winter festivities. The ball is organised with CDMDT43, and admission to the celebration is free.

Familiar animals from traditional tales gather for an imaginary ball in Le grand bal des animaux. Each creature has a human face and a story of its own, with some proving less than well behaved. Thierry Bénéteau’s spoken tales weave between fantasy and the contemporary world. Julien Evain accompanies them on accordion in this performance for Montluçon’s Dire, lire et conter festival.
Montluçon Traditional Dance Ball
Montluçon’s MJC organises a traditional ball with live accompaniment from three traditional music ensembles. Hurdy-gurdies and bagpipes feature in the conservatory group’s contribution. Divertiment’Trad from Montluçon and Tradi’Adi from Évaux-les-Bains also play for the dancers, and admission to the ball is free.
