Mélisme(s) Les lavandières de la nuit is a distinctive concert featured in the Musicales de Redon festival. This performance delves into the engaging myths of washerwomen, known as Revenants or witches, that have intrigued Europe since the Middle Ages. Guests can look forward to an eclectic mix of learned music by Verdi, Berlioz, and Saint-Saëns, alongside traditional Breton songs and new works by Frédérique Lory. The concert features a remarkable lineup, including clarinetist and director Gildas Pungier, storyteller and soloist Marthe Vassallo, the Mélisme(s) choir, and accordionist Jérôme Pungier. Set at the Église de Quelneuc in Carentoir, this artistic backdrop amplifies the event’s allure.
