Sainte-Thorette Sand Letter Atelier

At Sainte-Thorette, correspondence becomes a practical route into the literary friendship of George Sand and Gustave Flaubert. Adults compose a letter addressed to one writer or both, either alone or as part of a collective piece. Writing from the present creates room for questions, disagreement and personal response, with no need to imitate nineteenth-century style. Puzzle Centre supports the process, helping participants treat tone, recipient and purpose as deliberate choices. The workshop keeps Berry’s connection to Sand alive through an ordinary but demanding form: words intended for another person, shaped with enough clarity and feeling to continue a conversation across time and renewed whenever a participant finds an individual voice in reply.
