This heritage lecture follows the Lignon aqueduct from its intake at La Chapelette to the reservoirs of Solaure. Journalist Lionel Ciochetto recounts the eight years of construction needed for the water supply. The reinforced-cement conduit runs for 54 kilometres between Grazac and Saint-Étienne. Monistrol-sur-Loire contains almost 11 kilometres of it, connecting the town directly with this engineering history.
L’aqueduc du Lignon: History and Heritage
