In Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, the subject returns Sand’s screen image to the Berry landscape associated with her life and writing. The display treats adaptation as a series of choices, never a simple transfer from page to screen. Together, its themes reveal how different periods have pictured Sand, interpreted her work and shaped her visibility for new audiences.
George Sand Celebration in La Châtre: Literary Tribute
La Châtre commemorates George Sand with readings and music by Compagnie l’Oreille à Plumes at Square George Sand. A tree planting accompanies the ceremony.
