Cap Danse: Dirau by Bilaka
Bilaka’s Dirau takes its title from a Basque word for what endures while transforming. The collective works from Basque dance steps and rhythms, letting walking become choreography and silence become movement. In Tourc’h, the Cap Danse program places Arthur Barat, Zibel Damestoy, Ioritz Galarraga and Oihan Indart in a piece where tradition moves through contemporary physical energy.
L’Assemblee des Bourdons
L’Assemblée des Bourdons draws from Breton culture and dance, especially traditions of Upper Brittany, to create a contemporary choreographic work. The Pied en Sol company works with breath, step and voice, supported by deep viola da gamba sound and traditional singing. Inherited dance is treated as a living vocabulary, open to new movement, sound and stage forms.
International Dance Stage Festival in Châteauroux: Live Arts
Châteauroux’s International Dance Stage Festival brings more than 650 dancers together for teaching across 24 disciplines. Modern jazz, flamenco and Bollywood dance are among the styles taught by international instructors. A final performance concludes the training, while concerts at Place Voltaire extend the festival’s programme into the city.
