Bilaka’s Dirau brings Basque dance into Cap Danse, turning walking, silence and shifting rhythms into a collective choreography.

Bilaka’s Dirau takes its title from a Basque word for what endures while transforming. The collective works from Basque dance steps and rhythms, letting walking become choreography and silence become movement. In Tourc’h, the Cap Danse program places Arthur Barat, Zibel Damestoy, Ioritz Galarraga and Oihan Indart in a piece where tradition moves through contemporary physical energy.
