Compagnie Pied en Sol draws L’Assemblée des Bourdons out of Breton popular tradition: the troménies, the danses macabres, animal figures and gargoyles. Six dancers, Mathieu Hamon’s voice and Ronan Pellen’s viole de gambe build it as a bal du monde where step, voice and rhythm are one. Brigitte Trémelot and Denis Madeleine choreographed the fifty-minute piece. The Festival Un Automne Autrement hosts it at Plumergat with Ti Douar Alré.

Gwennyn présente Enez à l’Espace Keraudy
Enez is Gwennyn’s staged creation, built from dance, song, lighting and costume. Some thirty artists share the stage with her, among them the storyteller Patrick Ewen and musicians well known on the Breton music scene. She sings in Breton, and the costumes she wears were designed by the Quimper embroiderer Pascal Jaouen. The evening lands at the Espace Keraudy in Plougonvelin, one of the halls carrying the creation across the region.
Sorcière, de l’ombre à la lumière par Avel Douar
The figure at the centre is the Breton witch, followed from Naïa to the women of today. Avel Douar, the cercle celtique that performs it, sets that passage to dance and music together. The route of the piece runs through ancient beliefs, then nature, then modernity, so the sorceress emerges as a thread in Breton belief and never as a seasonal costume. It is staged in the town hall of Saint-Malo-de-Beignon and is open to all ages.
Guillaume et Harold: Gaëlle Bourges’s Tapestry Tale
Longships, horses, fantastical creatures and battlefields run through an epic in episodes, with music that crackles like banners. Two versatile performers stage the invasion of England by a certain William, Duke of Normandy, after the Bayeux Tapestry. Physical theatre and object theatre meet in the hands of Gaëlle Bourges, who blends eras and styles with humour and poetry. Guingamp, at Place du Champ-au-Roy, holds a staging for ages six and over.
Les chevaux dansent à la bodega: Equestrian Cabaret
In Les chevaux dansent à la bodega, horses perform to music in an equestrian cabaret in La Gacilly. A Spanish feria supplies the show’s festive theme, with lively rhythms directing the horses’ dancing. Sangria accompanies the audience’s experience, extending the bodega atmosphere beyond the performance itself.
Fiskal: Dance and Skateboarding with C’hoari
Two skateboarders join Pauline Sonnic and Nolwenn Ferry in Fiskal, a performance by Compagnie C’hoari. Contemporary dance meets skateboarding as the choreographers explore the festive, popular character of Breton heritage. The piece looks at how these different movement cultures create a community, placing a generation of young Bretons at its centre.
Bals Champêtres au Jardin
Bourges XIXe, the K’Danse group, brings country dancing into the formal garden at City Hall, close to the cathedral. The tree-shaded setting makes the garden part of the performance, placing historical movement within a civic landscape away from a conventional stage. Different sessions draw on the world of Empress Eugénie, the Art Nouveau era and the age of George Sand, giving each sequence of dances a changing cultural frame. The public is invited to watch and enjoy the dances in an open, sociable atmosphere. Across those themes, the group’s focus remains the physical vocabulary of the period and the pleasure of shared outdoor performance. The program turns a central Bourges garden into a meeting point between urban heritage, historical imagination and living dance practice.
Cap Danse: Dirau by Bilaka
Bilaka’s Dirau takes its title from a Basque word for what endures while transforming. The collective works from Basque dance steps and rhythms, letting walking become choreography and silence become movement. In Tourc’h, the Cap Danse program places Arthur Barat, Zibel Damestoy, Ioritz Galarraga and Oihan Indart in a piece where tradition moves through contemporary physical energy.
Miss Bretagne Election
The Miss Bretagne election is a regional stage event built around representation, performance and the public image of Brittany. Candidates from the four Breton departments appear before the audience in a production tied to the wider Miss France route. The evening turns regional representation into a public performance, selecting the candidate who will carry Brittany’s name onto the national stage.

In Sois parfaite et t’es toi !, a career-driven lawyer is transported into her grandmother’s past. Emmanuelle and Colette, now the same age, confront their different expectations of work, marriage and motherhood. In this Clermont-Ferrand comedy, Axelle Abela and Clara Thebaut combine dialogue, song and dance as the two women defend competing ideas of the ideal woman.
