The Fête des Lavoirs returns to Pontrieux for its 34th edition, using the town’s washhouse heritage as the frame for two days of concerts, parade culture and night-time celebration. Friday is a paid concert evening with Manau, Billy Ze Kick and Lads. Saturday opens as a free Celtic day with Plantec, Shine, Owen’s Friends, Ivy Bush, Groove Machine, De l’Une à l’Autre, the Partout Ta Zic laundrywomen’s choir, pipe bands, bagadoù and Celtic circles. Food stands run across the event, and fireworks close the program.
