Fete du Maerl brings back the Plougastel peninsula’s motto, Var zouar ha var vor, through a celebration of farming and seafaring memory. Maerl, goemon, old boats, dredging gestures and strawberry-growing history explain how the seabed helped enrich the fields. The festival is a rare public lesson in coastal economy, told through food, games, craft and dance.
