Foal and filly competitions anchor the programme at Kérien, where stallions and Parisiennes are presented and a doubles boules competition runs alongside a demonstration of Breton strength games. A craft market, live music and a concert round out the day, and a raffle drawing is held. Roasted chestnuts, sausages, fries and crepes are served on site. The fair has run since the nineteenth century, and its committee marks its fortieth anniversary.
