Legend holds that he was once the bishop of Armagh in Hibernia (modern-day Ireland) before journeying across the English Channel on a stone vessel to settle in Armorica, present-day Brittany. This event occurs in Penmarch on July 5, 2026, celebrating not only Saint Nonna’s life but also the cultural heritage of the area. A artifact associated with this tale is a hemispherical stele with cupules from the Iron Age, located around fifty meters from the Saint-Vio chapel in Tréguennec.
