Arbois provides the setting for an excursion that pairs Jura wine culture with the life and work of Louis Pasteur. At Cave de la Reine Jeanne, a listed Gothic cellar associated with a daughter of the Dukes of Burgundy frames a tasting of local wines. Château Pécauld houses the Vine and Wine Museum, where reconstructed vineyards, cellar displays and production methods explain vin jaune, vin de paille and Macvin traditions.
