Acclaimed tenor Zachary Wilder will perform his debut recital in Beaune, titled ‘Farewell, Love’. This concert will present John Dowland’s poignant work ‘A Pilgrim’s Solace’, highlighting its emotive arias that resonate with the human programme. Alongside selections from contemporary English musicians, Wilder presents a poetic programme. The performance runs for 1h15 without intermission, creating an intimate setting for the display of baroque opera. Accompanied by Thibaut Roussel on lute and violists Mathilde Vialle and Hyérine Lassalle, this collaboration enhances the depth of this selected repertoire. this recital provides a option to look at baroque opera in a local setting.
