The Festival de Bach à Bacchus in Meursault features a concert by the Chamber Choir Les Divertissements, performing “Ex bello pax” on July 5, 2026. This performance explores a musical arc from war to liberation and peace, highlighting works by composers such as Poulenc, Handel, Fauré, Rheinberger, Rossini, and Schubert. Conducted by Olivier Plaisant, who has led the choir for over twenty years, Les Divertissements consists of around twenty experienced singers dedicated to chamber choral music. The choir regularly performs in Paris and has been in residence at the Eglise des Billettes since September 2024. Joining them is Caroline Montier, an artist known for her versatility across opera, jazz, and French chanson, accompanied on piano by Florence Chalamet, noted for her collaborative projects including a recent recording of Mozart’s Requiem. This festival ly blends tradition with the rural backdrop of Meursault, the Festival de Bach à Bacchus offers an afternoon filled with musical harmony and community spirit.
