“Mr Dowland’s Dream,” part of the Festival international d’opéra baroque, where the haunting melodies of John Dowland take shape. As night falls, Mr. Dowland, unable to find rest, turns to his long-running instrument. The legendary poets Orpheus and Arion emerge from the shadows, guiding him into an atmospheric reverie filled with period sonorities. The performance features Clara Brunet on vocals and Bor Zuljan on the orpharion, a rare string instrument akin to the lute. With a duration of one hour and ten minutes and no intermission, the programme presents an auditory programme.
