George Sand and Berry Landscapes

George Sand, l’âme des paysages examines the bond between territory and imagination across Gargilesse, Nohant and other places important to the writer. Deeply attached to Berry, Sand made rural landscapes active participants in her fiction and gave them significance beyond decorative backgrounds.
