Bourges’s Nuits Lumière turns the historic centre into an open-air sequence of scenographic video projections across six heritage sites. The route begins at the Archbishop’s Garden and lets civic monuments become screens for stories embedded in the city’s architecture. A collaboration with the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Bourges gives Place Cujas a contemporary pulse through work by twenty students, including a creation shaped around nature reclaiming urban space. Historical interpretation is available through the Legendr mobile guide, which explains the works and their symbols without interrupting the nocturnal walk. Free access and the meeting of medieval fabric, digital image and local art-school practice make the illumination distinctly rooted in Bourges.
