La Châtre commemorates George Sand with readings and music by Compagnie l’Oreille à Plumes at Square George Sand. A tree planting accompanies the ceremony. A Berry banquet follows along Avenue George Sand, and an open-air screening of Diane Kurys’s Les Enfants du siècle completes the programme of literature, food and cinema.
