The Cherry Festival in Fougerolles honors the region’s cherished fruit with an array of activities. Festivities start at 10 a.m. with a 10 km walking tour through the rural Fougerollais countryside. For just €2, visitors join the walk along with a complimentary cocktail from SICA Kirsch. At 11 a.m., a local market will present a variety of regional products, prominently featuring cherries. Visitors can sample local offerings from two food trucks, serving chips and tartines, alongside a BBQ hosted by the festival committee. Starting at 1 p.m., Alexis Balandier will lead a bal musette, inviting everyone to dance in celebration. Children’s entertainment includes active activities like PARKOUR, pony rides, and a Mirage cockpit exhibition. Live music from groups such as the Roue d’Abondance and the Union musicale de Fougerolles will fill the air with festive melodies throughout the day. As evening approaches, delight in a countryside-inspired meal topped off with cherry flan for dessert. At 8 p.m., the highlight will be the eagerly awaited election of Miss Cerises 2026, where ten candidates will compete for the coveted title. Concluding the day, two free concerts featuring Nadamas and The Celtic Tramps will create a market setting to round off the festivities.
